You guys. I can’t tell you how much I love jalapeños, and I love them as poppers. One of my favorite appetizers. Usually I bake them in the oven, however for this recipe we are using a grill. The summer demands grilling!
This recipe is simple and starts with preparing the jalapeños for a cream cheese mixture, then wrapping with bacon, and finally grilling until perfection. These poppers are made at almost all my get togethers, and are universally loved by guests.
Jalapeños are one of my favorite peppers, and I ALWAYS have them on hand. Did you know you can freeze your jalapeños whole? That’s right, just toss them in a bag and place in the freezer until ready to use. I love making poppers of course, but I also love sliced jalapeños over pizza, salads, tacos, burritos, in casseroles, etc. Just LOVE them.
I do recommend to use a grill pan for this recipe. I lined mine with foil and the grill pan held the poppers perfectly, kept the grease from making flare ups on the grill, and I was able to rotate the poppers easily for even cooking. Grill pans are also great for grilling small vegetables and fish.
These will surely be a staple at all the summer get togethers. Try them and let me know what you think!
