Simple Bruschetta

This fresh and delicious reipe is all you need for a great appetizer!

Equipment

  • Medium sized bowl
  • wooden spoon
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 6-7 roma tomatoes, diced finely
  • 1 onion, diced finely
  • several basil leaves, torn into small pieces. (you can use 1-2 teaspoons dried basil, but I recommend fresh)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Gently stir all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
  • Place in fridge and allow flavors to meld, approximately 30-60 minutes.
  • Spoon over home made crostini or crackers.

Notes

This recipe will last until the next day, however it is best eaten the same day.
