Easy Apple Crisp

This delicious dessert is easy to make and a great way to use up extra apples.

Ingredients

  • 6-7 medium apples; peeled, cored, and sliced thin (about 6 cups)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Apple crisp topping

  • 1 cup quick cook oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tbs flour, and 1 tsp cinnamon over apples. Stir to combine.
  • Pour apples into an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Using a fork, mix the apple crisp topping ingredients thoroughly and sprinkle evenly over top of apples.
  • Bake for 45-50 min or until cooked through. Serve warm.
