Another fabulous sugar scrub is here! I love sugar scrubs, they are so easy to make, and I love the way my skin feels after using.
I made this scrub when I was using up a bunch of leftover limes to make Cool Lime Pie. I used a bit of zest for the pie, but had tons left over. Remembering my beloved coconut oil in my pantry, I quickly grabbed it and whipped up this great scrub.
Let me just sing some praises for coconut oil, y’all. I LOVE IT. It has so many uses, in and out of the kitchen, but to be perfectly honest, I mostly use it for beauty purposes. It makes a fabulous make up remover, shaving balm, and hair mask, among other things. I can’t say enough good things about it.
Try out this sugar scrub and let me know what you think! They make great gifts and party favors, and I always have a container in my shower. It smalls good enough on it’s own without the need for essential oil. All in all a great scrub!
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted slightly
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
Add all ingredients to small bowl, mix until well incorporated. Keep in a lidded jar or air tight container.
To use, simply scrub down parts of body that need some extra TLC, or use prior to shaving. Be careful of any slippery floors when using oils in the shower or tub. Rinse well after use.
